The PPL flying syllabus comprises of the following: - Students learning the basic manoeuvring skills required for operating an aircraft (normally 7 hours flying time)
- Training in the circuit until your first solo (Most students take between 10-18 hours before their first solo flight, depending on weather and students aptitude)
- Once confident with operating the aircraft solo, you will then proceed with advanced training required for the issue of your licence
- Several dual and solo cross country flights are flown (Destinations normally include Great Barrier, Whangarei, Tauranga and Rotorua)
- The last hours leading up to the flight test will cover exercises that will be expected to be tested during the test
